Guiding Contributors (GCs) are DAO members elected by general vote.
They dedicate their full-time to Slingshot DAO and are responsible to organise the efforts of a single working group.
[4.1] Number of seats
The number of seats open for Guiding Contributors is determined by the number of working groups.
There is one seat per working group, with the elected Guiding Contributor required to coordinate said working group.
[4.2] Term length
Following the first elections, Guiding Contributors serve terms of up to a maximum of 14 months in a given seat before the seat must be re-elected:
Any handover period is not included in the maximum term length.
If 14 months is surpassed without an election then the incumbent Guiding Contributor must stand down.
[4.3] Term limits
Guiding Contributors can serve a cumulative maximum of 5 years as a Guiding Contributor, after which they can no longer be elected to a Guiding Contributor or Interim Guiding Contributor position.
[4.4] Guiding Contributor Elections
[4.5] Compensation
[4.6] Impeachment
A Guiding Contributor or Interim Guiding Contributor can be impeached if any one of the following requirements are met:
A unanimous vote amongst all other Guiding Contributors (minimum of 2 others).
A unanimous vote amongst all of the Special Council (minimum of 2 special council members).
A majority at general vote.
However if a supermajority (66%) vote of Guiding Contributors appeal an impeachment decision by the Special Council then the impeachment must be settled by general vote instead. This supermajority of Guiding Contributors cannot include the individual under consideration for impeachment and this member does not contributes toward the quorum requirement.
An impeached Guiding Contributor must immediately stand down from their position and forfeits all compensation from the date of impeachment.
An impeached Guiding Contributor should not be prevented from running in future elections as consequence for their impeachment.
[4.7] Resignation
Guiding Contributors can resign at any time by providing written notice of resignation to Slingshot DAO.
A resigning Guiding Contributor is accountable for ensuring working group continuity as part of their resignation. This includes but is not limited to the appropriate transition of work management, data, credentials, assets and other interests of Slingshot DAO within their purview.
All resigning Guiding Contributors must fulfil any Handover requirements as defined within this framework.
[4.8] Interim Guiding Contributors
