# DAO Governance

Slingshot runs as an Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). 

This means that the community runs the organization and takes votes on how the DAO should operate.

Slingshot DAO has it's own community Governance Framework that helps structure how the community manages running the DAO.

This innovative framework is designed to maximise the efficiency of decision making within Slingshot DAO, empowering Working Groups and sub-committees with effective decision making abilities, whilst protecting democracy through the use of Safeguards.
